Kimmswick

In Kimmswick, located about 25 miles downriver from St. Louis, two major festivals were canceled due to the pandemic, which accounts for 80% of the city budget. Mayor Phil Stang said the city would run out of money at the end of December.

#EndSARS in Nigeria

For most journalists, reporting costs time, energy and sleep. For Kofi Bartels, a radio journalist in Nigeria, reporting nearly cost him his life. Reporting on protests to end police brutality in Nigeria can be risky because the police brutality may become directed at the messenger.

The most impressive moment when producing this story is to get up at around 6 a.m. to interview a journalist based in Nigeria. I am proud of my team that we could finish such a difficult story.


Strutt your mutt pet parade was an event held by Central Missouri Stop Human Trafficking Coalition to donate money for helping human trafficking survivors who need emotional support animals. This is my first time to report live events. The most difficult thing is to collect nat sound in a very noisy background, but I think I did a good job on this!

International Day of Persons with Disabilities

Masks help slow the spread of COVID-19, but they also hinder lip-reading and facial cues – all of which play a huge role in everyday conversation.

I was responsible for writing the audio script, editing audio and editing photos. I want to thank Alexis and her mom for their help and time.


Pumpkin Painting Party was held to donate money for people who had breast cancer. Although the weather was awful with strong wind, I still got good soundbites and nat sound.
